The latest Spoonflower challenge was to come up with a tea towel design based on a retro bar cart so my idea was to produce a design containing interesting shapes that might be on a bar cart. I wanted my design to have a late 50’s feel so I had a look at some advertising from the period to get a feel for the colours that were popular at the time. It was nice to revisit some bottle shapes that were around me while growing up; the McWilliams Martini and Wine Cocktail bottles along with the Vok Liqueur bottle shapes.

I ranked 29 with 174 votes in the Spoonflower voting, which is the best ranking I have had so far. Thanks so much if you took the trouble to vote for my entry.
