Daniela Glassop in her studio
Some of my designs on greeting cards by Nuovo Group.
About Me:
Hi, I’m Daniela Glassop — an illustrator, designer, and artist based in Newcastle, Australia.
I create vibrant, joyful artwork inspired by food, flowers, and the natural world. Whether I’m painting a botanical pattern, illustrating a still life, or designing for a product, I love using colour, texture, and detail to tell a visual story.
With a background in art education and design, I’ve spent over 30 years working across creative industries — from surface pattern design and illustration to teaching and exhibiting. My work has appeared on textiles, wallpaper, home décor, prints, and more.
I’m represented by Suzanne Cruise Creative Services, and my designs have been featured in exhibitions and are available on platforms like Spoonflower, Happywall, Fy!, and Redbubble.
I live in Newcastle with my family and our two cats. Outside the studio, you’ll often find me cooking, sewing, painting, making fibre art, gardening, enjoying beach walks and bike rides, or hosting relaxed dinner parties with friends.
Work With Me
I offer custom illustration and surface design services for print and digital projects. Whether you’re after original artwork for textiles, wallpaper, packaging, editorial, or stationery, I can create something unique and tailored to your needs.
I also license existing work and curate private galleries of exclusive designs beyond what’s shown on my site.
🔹 Custom commissions welcome
🔹 Licensable artwork available
🔹 Private galleries on request
Collaboration is at the heart of what I do. I work closely with art directors, small businesses, and creative teams to bring ideas to life — and I deliver high-quality, print-ready files designed to make production easy.
Let’s create something beautiful together.

Testimonials
“Daniela’s work is of exceptional quality and beauty. Her unique designs reflect her careful consideration of her client’s requests. Always above and beyond.”
“When you hire Daniela, you have the pleasure of working with an artist. Artists have a way of teaching us to see what is not immediately visible. They see with different eyes. That is their function and their gift to us. Daniela was able to interpret what I was telling her about my business and translated it into something beautiful that is representative of what I wanted. She has many, many years of experience and is truly passionate about what she does.”
